Our non-fault car hire service is available to any UK driver either involved in a non-fault car accident or has had their vehicle damaged by a correctly insured negligent party. AHC supply a like for like hire car after the accident and until the vehicle claim is settled.
So how does non-fault car hire work and who pays for the service?
UK drivers are entitled to obtain a like for like hire car after their accident and may then keep it until their vehicle claim is complete. AHC provide UK drivers with direct access to our temporary hire car fleet, with vehicles delivered directly to the customer. The hire car is paid for by the negligent parties insurance company at standard ABI daily hire rate. All UK drivers are entitled by law (Tort Law) to claim the cost of a suitable comparable vehicle after an accident and until their vehicle is repaired of their write off claim is settled. This entitlement is available to any UK driver, regardless of their level of insurance cover, this is because, under Tort law, the negligent parties insurance company are responsible to cover the cost of all accident related losses incurred by the non-fault party.
What Type Of Hire Car Am I Entitled To
Non-fault car hire services are offered in accordance with GTA protocols, under the GTA scheme, each vehicle on the road has a corresponding specific vehicle group. The groups essentially equate to a ‘like for like’ vehicle, meaning a comparable vehicle to your vehicle, the same size, standard and specification.

Who Is Entitled To Use A Non Fault Accident Car Hire Service?
Any UK driver aged 17 years or above with a full driving licence and their vehicle must have been correctly insured, MOT’ed and taxed at the time of the accident.
How Long Do I Keep A Hire Car After An Accident?
Through the use of a non fault accident car hire service, drivers are entitled to keep their hire car until their vehicle is repaired and returned to them, or in the event of a total loss until the claim is settled.
